Sam's Club temporarily waives membership for those affected by Government Shutdown

Due to the Government Shutdown and the commissary closures on Military Posts across the nation, Sam’s Club is now offering a special program to those affected.

According to Fairbanks Sam’s Club Membership Manager Meghan Russell, they will be extending their memberships free of charge to anyone with a valid Department of Defense card or Military ID.

This means, as long as you have a card, you can shop at Sam’s Club without the annual membership normally required.

The program will last until the commissaries reopen both here in the Interior and around the United States.

Russell says this will be open to civilians and military members alike who are affected by the shutdown.
