Robertson named WCHA Commissioner

ST. PAUL, MINN-Today in Saint Paul Minnesota Bill Robertson was officially named as the new WCHA commissioner. Robertson is from Saint Paul and brings with him major league experience.

He was the Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting for over a decade for the NHL's Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Sports and Entertainment. Before that he was a director of communications for the Anaheim Angels, Mighty Ducks and the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA franchise.

Robertson was also the media relations liason for both Team USA Olympic women's and men's hockey teams in 2002 and 2006.

Robertson is 53 years old and will being in Mid-May as he takes over for longtime commissioner Bruce McLeod who is retiring after 20 years as commissioner in June.
