Like a lot of businesses and homes, Fred Meyer West lost power around 11p.m. Wednesday night due to the storm.
When the power came back on some of the refrigeration equipment did not.
Night crew officials made the call to pull the product off the shelves in fear it would go outside the safe temperature zone.
All the frozen products, refrigerated products, meat products, and salad products were transferred to refrigerated trailers behind the store.
The refrigeration equipment is working properly now. Some of the products were restored to the shelves by late afternoon Thursday.
Fred Meyer East refrigeration was not affected by the outage.
Store Manager David Atlee said the amount of product lost is not yet known, but they are working to get another shipment in to replace the spoiled product.
