Police identify suspect connected to explosive found outside Monroe High School

Fairbanks Police Department has confirmed that a suspect has been identified in connection with the explosive devices found outside of Monroe High School last week.

Police say at least 2 people handled the device before they were able to phone the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms to decipher what it was.

No one was hurt in the incident however; officials say federal charges have been sent to the U.S. Attorney's office in this case.

Police say the explosive was not directed towards the school or a specific individual.
