Not guilty pleas for man accused of stealing 45 iPads

FAIRBANKS- After allegedly stealing 45 iPads from Walmart, Cody Michael Stockton has pleaded not guilty to numerous charges.

The 24–year–old North Pole man, with a criminal history of burglary and assault, stands accused of taking the iPads on July 20th.

Police say he is also charged with 4 counts of second–degree drugs misconduct after finding heroin, methamphetamine, and other drugs on Stockton, with what they believed to be intent to distribute.

Following the alleged theft, authorities found an online ad for iPads posted on Craigslist.

They later linked those iPads to the ones reported stolen, and also retrieved store surveillance footage of the incident.

A search of Stockton's home turned up other stolen iPads as well.

Trial for his case is set for October.
