North Star Youth Court

Juvenile delinquency is a problem that has to be stopped in its earliest phase before it becomes more serious as the youths become older.

The North Star Youth Court plays a major role in engaging minor victims and offenders through an immediate and direct response to juvenile crime. Youth learn about the legal system, mediation, and substance abuse.

The North Star Youth Court promotes community service and leadership and encourages personal accountability and responsibility with continuous training classes. In these classes advisors help kids as young as seventh grade develop their knowledge about the legal system and a possible career in the legal system.

"This week will be a good experience for the kids," says Betty Noreen, and advisor with the North Star Youth Court.
