North Pole woman critically injured in ATV rollover.

A North Pole woman was critically injured late Saturday evening in an ATV accident near Delta Junction.

In a news release, Troopers say just before 11:30 p.m., they responded to a report of an ATV rollover near the Quartz Lake campground.

They say the area where the accident occurred is on an old Forestry Road, approximately five miles off Quartz Lake Road and near the campground area.

When a trooper arrived on scene, a family member was performing CPR on 31 year old Carla Converse.

EMS arrived on scene and transported Converse to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

Troopers say Converse was driving a Honda ATV down a bank onto the road when the ATV rolled and landed on top of her.

The family member, who had gotten off the ATV while Converse maneuvered down the bank, rolled the ATV off of her and started first aid.

Troopers say Converse was not wearing a helmet at the time.

An investigation into the case continues.
