A Noorvik man involved in a shooting with Alaska State Troopers was arrested
after having been released from the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage.
40-year-old Jeffrey Henry of Noorvik is being held at the Anchorage Correctional
Center without bail on multiple charges.
On October 25th, Troopers responded to a call of a man walking around the village with a firearm
and discharging it towards buildings.
Upon arrival this report was corroborated and SERT members from Fairbanks
as well as a Crisis Negotiator Team was called in to assist.
Henry received critical injuries after he brandished the gun towards troopers, who in
return opened fire on him.
The Fairbanks based Trooper involved in the shooting, Joshua V. Rallo is an 8-year
veteran currently assigned to the Patrol Unit.
The incident is under investigation by the Alaska Bureau of Investigation to determine
 if the Trooper acted within the law.
The final review will determine if every reasonable option was expended before the use
of deadly force.
