"No on 2" Has a Bigger War Chest

Opponents of an initiative that would re-establish a coastal management program in Alaska raised more than 10 times that of supporters during the latest reporting period. "Vote No on 2" raised almost $719,000 in June and July, much of it in big checks from mining and resource development groups. The Alaska Sea Party, the group behind the initiative, raised nearly $64,000 from April through yesterday. The time span differs because the opposition group formed later than the Alaska Sea Party.
