Nice weather makes for could conditions for weekend sports

FAIRBANKS-Sun is up. Temperatures in the 60s. Sounds like a lot of weekend sports events.

Tomorrow at 10 am the 33rd Annual Chena River Run starts at WoodRiver Elementary and ends at the Princess Hotel.

Noon is the hour for high school sports. The Monroe Rams play North Pole on Newby Field in boys soccer.
The West Valley girls host Eielson at noon.

Day two of the second region 6 high school track and field meet is at Lathrop at 12:30.

In baseball West Valley visits Delta Junction for a double header at noon and 2:30. In softball North Pole visits Delta as well for a 1 and 2:45 double header. Then Hutchison and Eielson will play at 4 pm on the South Davis Fields.

Saturday night game two of the Robertson Cup Semifinals between the Michigan Warriors and the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.

Then on Sunday a Triathlon. The Breakup Tri at the UAF Patty Center. The 500 yard swim, 13.1 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run at noon.
