News Update: Man killed in accident on Richardson Highway

Fairbanks Police Department has identified the man killed in a single-car accident last evening.
According to Police, the victim was an Anchorage man who was employed and working in Fairbanks; Police have not yet released his name.
The single-vehicle accident happened near mile 360 Northbound on the Richardson highway last evening around 11PM when the driver lost control of his truck on the icy road and turned on its side.
Sgt. Kurt Lockwood with Fairbanks Police Department said the victim was not wearing his seatbelt and was lodged under the vehicle.
Police were on scene a few yards up as another vehicle had lost control and witnessed the accident; they were able to break out the window of the truck immediately to check for pulse and were ultimately unable to find one.
The next of kin of the male driver have been notified.
