News Update: 1 person confirmed dead in what is now identified as a Cessna 172 Plane Crash

1 person is confirmed dead and 2 others seriously injured in what is now identified as a Cessna 172 plane crash.
According to Fairbanks International Airport Spokeswoman Angie Spear, the plane crashed shortly after take-off on the south side of the East Ramp at approximately 5:30pm yesterday evening.
The reason for the mis-identification of the plane as a Cessna 150 was due to the severe damage sustained in the crash.
The cause of the crash at this point is unknown however; both NTSB and the FAA are currently on site investigating.
The names and genders of the deceased and injured have not yet been released by the NTSB or authorities.
The Newscenter will have more details as they emerge.
