NEWS ALERT: Trial for alleged rapist set to begin Wednesday in Fairbanks.

Jury selection and trial for an alleged rapist get underway Wednesday morning in Fairbanks Superior Court.

Timothy Bedwell, 53, is accused of sexually assaulting an adult, and sexually abusing two children.

Bedwell was taken into custody in California, after he had been indicted by a Fairbanks Grand Jury in August, 2012.

Bedwell is charged with one count of First and Second Degree Sexual Assault, 10 counts of First Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor and

24 counts of Second Degree Child Sexual Abuse.
