Alaska State Troopers say a Fairbanks couple, and their four children were hospitalized after their sport utility vehicle
rolled early Wednesday morning on the Parks Highway.
Troopers responded to Mile 154 around 3:30 a.m.
In a news release, Troopers say Harley Mills, 24, was driving his 1996 Chevy Blazer northbound on the Parks, when a dark colored
vehicle, driving southbound, reportedly crossed the centerline into northbound traffic.
Mills is said to have told Troopers he took evasive action to avoid a head-on collision, which caused his vehicle to roll as it left the roadway.
Mills, his wife Sherry Mills, 25, and four children all sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries in the crash, and all were transported
to the hospital via air and ground ambulance.
Troopers say their investigation into the accident continues.
They say the Blazer did not have airbags, and they're not sure who was wearing seatbelts, and who wasn't, when the crash occurred.
The vehicle was considered a total loss.
