A 51 year old man from the Alaska Highway community of Dot Lake, was arrested and jailed late Monday after State Troopers say he discharged his weapon numerous times in close
range of area homes.
In a news release, Troopers say Clyde Charles is charged with felony counts of Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Third and Fourth Degree, as well as Third Degree Assault.
They say around 7 p.m. officers were called to DOT Lake for a report of a disturbance.
Troopers from Tok and Delta Junction responded after witnesses say Charles discharged a weapon into the air when other persons were nearby their homes in close proximity.
The other persons nearby told troopers they were afraid for their safety.
After an investigation and interviews were conducted, Troopers arrested Charles and transported him to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.
