Nanooks rally falls short at Ferris State

BIG RAPIDS, MICH.-The Nanooks made the Bulldogs sweat in the last period of the game but Ferris State kept their unbeaten WCHA streak alive with a 5-3 win Friday night.

The Nanooks trialed 4-0 going into the third but freshman Marcus Basara's goal at the 13:41 mark of the third started a rally. At 9:24 of the third Cody Kunyk's goal made it a 4-2 game. The tally was also his 100th career point. He's notched 100 points in 122 career games for the Nanooks.

Tyler Morley was inspired as his goal came just 1:15 later to bring the Nanooks within one 4-3. But the Bulldogs held off the Nanooks and added an empty net goal for the final margin. Five different Bulldogs scored for Ferris State.
