Nanooks home and abroad this weekend

FAIRBANKS, Ak-In addition to the hot hockey team they are other Nanook sports going down this weekend. Both the men's and women's basketball teams are on the road.

The men are hoping to start another winning streak after having their six game winning streak snapped by rival UAA last Saturday. The boys visit Simon Fraser tonight. The Clan have lost seven straight games. Saturday the Nooks take on the number two undefeated Western Oregon Vikings. They are the top scoring team in the GNAC at just under 90 points.

For the ladies they are still searching for their first GNAC win against St. Martin's the current conference team of the week today and then Western Oregon on Saturday a team whose lost seven of their last eight.

For Nook action close to home check out the number 21 Nanook swimming team in the Patty Center Pool closing out their regular season against number 15 Simon Fraser.
It will be a grudge match with The Clan winning the first meeting 75-44. The Clan are 6 and 1.

The Nanooks are 3-3 on the year and will look to close out the season strong led by the number one 100 freestyler Bente Heller and butterfly specialist Margot Adams
