SAULT STE, MARIE, MICH.-The Lake Superior State Lakers continue to vex the Nanooks winning their seventh straight against Alaska with a 4-1 win on Friday night.
After a scoreless first period Nolan Huysmans hooks up with Trevor Campbell to put the Nanooks up 1-0 six minutes into the second period. It was Campbell's first goal of the year.
The Lakers responded with four unanswered goals, three of which came in the second period alone. Alex Globke scored twice to lead Lake State and two other players had two points as well.
The victory also ended the Nanooks four game Friday night winning streak.
Both teams will be back on the ice for game two today at 3:07 AKDT.
