Nanooks dominate Michigan Tech in sweep

HOUGHTON, MICH.-The Nanook hockey team is starting to like this whole weekend sweep thing it seems.  This time it was on the road and against a top-flight opponent.

Game two against Michigan Tech would be another Nanook scoring frenzy.  They would again put seven on the board and junior goalie Sean Cahill stops 17 of the 19 shots he faced for a 7-2 Alaska win.

Nolan Huysmans had a huge four point night with a goal and three assists.  He had a goal and two assists the night before and finished with seven points in the series sweep.

Senior Colton Beck notched two goals and an assist as he now has 93 career points as a Nanook.

Alaska now sits in a three-way tie for fourth in the WCHA with 24 points.  They go in to a bye week this week and their four remaining games are at the Carlson Center and against teams ahead of the Nanooks in the conference standings.
