Nanooks coach Mick Durham wins 500th game

FAIRBANKS, Ak-The Nanooks extended their win streak to five games with a 81-58 home win over St. Martin's.

The win came in head coach Mick Durham's 500th game. For the first time since the 2006-2007 season that the Nanooks have on four straight conference games and the first time since the 2004-2005 season that the Nanooks won five consecutive games.

The Nooks had a balanced scoring attack with 5 players in double figures. Dominique Brinson posted a game high 16 points. Sergej Pucar and Pat Voeut were feeling from three. Between the two they shot 6-9 with Voeut nailing four.  Transfer Ronnie Baker posted his first double double as a Nanook with 13 boards and 12 points.

Perimeter defense was big in this one with the Nanooks holding St. Martin's to 4-16 shooting from deep and outrebouding them 44-35.

The Nanooks next game is Saturday against Western Oregon.
