The Nanooks capture fourth straight Governor's Cup

ANCHORAGE, Ak-Over the weekend the Nanooks captured their fourth straight Governor's Cup with a 3-1 win at UAA on Saturday. The Nanooks continued their dominance with their twelfth cup in the 20 year history of the Governor's Cup.

The Nanooks ended this one in regulation with Colton Beck scoring just nine seconds into the first period. Beck set up Andy Taranto right before the end of the period to take a 2-0 advantage.
Taranto would score again in the second period off a Cody Kunyk assist. Bobby Murphy scored the lone goal for the Seawolves who only got off 19 shots. The Nanooks had 20 but they killed four penalties. The Nanooks are 23 of 24 on penalty kills since February ninth.

This will come in handy as UAF will host Michigan State in a best of three first round, in the CCHA Playoffs this weekend in the Carlson Center.
