Nanook women's basketball team goes back on the road

FAIRBANKS-The women's basketball team will also be on the road this week in addition to the men's basketball team. The ladies have been competitive in their last couple of games coming back from double digit deficits but have lost six of their last eight.

They'll need tighten up on their turnovers. They've committed 23 or more in their last five games. The Nanooks, however, are on an outrebounding streak grabbing more boards than their opponents in their last five outings.
This week they face Simon Fraser. The Clan are just a game back from fourth place. They also have the GNAC's leading scorer in Erin Chambers 21.5 points per game.

On Saturday UAF visits a Western Washington. A team that is tied for first at 5-2 in the conference. The Vikings are efficient. They are leading the conference in field goal and three point shooting percentage.

The Nanooks are 8-7 overall but are 4-2 on the road this season.
