Nanook swim sets record in first day of PCSC Championships

FAIRBANKS-Yesterday the Nanook swimmers made a huge splash in the opening day of the PCSC Championships.

The 200 medley relay team of Margot and Victoria Adams, Nga Nguyen and Bente Heller set a new PCSC meet record and program record finishing the 200 medley relay in 1:43.06.
The old PCSC record was 1:43.6 and the old Alaska record was two seconds slower.

Also freshman Kathryn Pound placed sixth in the 1,000 yard freestyle for all-conference. Nina Mullin and McKinley Wallace had personal bests in the event as well going 10th and 12th.

After day one UAF is third with 172 points. Division 1 Pepperdine is second with 175 and UC San Diego is first with 253.
