Nanook hockey's rallies fall short second loss to Ferris State

BIG RAPIDS, MICH.-The Nanooks made the Ferris State Bulldogs sweat last night rallying from a 4-0 deficit to make it a 4-3 game. late in the third. But the Nanooks lost 5-3. Cody Kunyk had a goal for his 100th career point in that one.

Today Kunyk and the Nanooks came storming back again. UAF trailed 3-0 after the first period but tied the game 3-3 at the end of the second period. Colton Parayko had a power play goal, then Kunyk got a short-handed power play score. The Nanooks tied the game on an even strength goal within 10 minutes of the second courtesy of Kunyk's stick. Kunyk had two goals and an assist.

However the rally fell short again with Garrett Thompson scoring the game winner for no.10/13 Ferris State 13 minutes in to the final period as the Bulldogs (10-2-1, 7-0-1 WCHA) sweep the Nanooks (5-5-2, 2-4-0 WCHA). this weekend.
