Nanook hockey team has last critical series at home

FAIRBANKS-The Nanook hockey team is getting hot at the right time. UAF is on their last bye week after outscoring Michigan Tech Huskies 14-5 in a blowout sweep this past weekend.

The Nooks are now in thee-way tie for fourth with the Huskies and Bemidji State-all with 24 points.

Alaska has won four straight and six of their last seven. Their last two series are at home.  UAF hosts no.1 Ferris State next weekend. The Bulldogs swept the Nooks in November.

In the season finale against UAA. UAA and UAF split in their first meeting. UAA is in third but just two points ahead of UAF in the WCHA standings. The top six teams go to the playoffs.
