Nanook hockey doesn't leave Bowling Green empy handed

BOWLING GREEN, OH-The Nanook hockey team game away with a point over the weekend. After losing 3-0 to Bowling Green on Friday UAF skated to a 1-1 tie on Saturday.

The goalies barely blinked as Tommy Burke made 31 saves for the Falcons and John Kenny made 26 stops for the Nanooks including 13 in the third period.

It could've been a 1-0 shutout for UAF but Mark Cooper's goal for the Falcons was off a bounce off of a ref in the first period. But freshman Marcus Basara's game tying goal came at the 7:44 mark of the third his ninth of the year.

Now the Nanooks stay on the road facing Northern Michigan this weekend.
