Motor Vehicle accident causes extensive damage

Two vehicles were badly damaged yesterday after a motor vehicle accident.

According to Alaska State Troopers, the collision occurred shortly after midnight on January 2nd on the intersection of Badger Road and Lakloey Road.

Investigation revealed that 20-year-old William Shoffstall of Fairbanks was driving a truck when he failed to exercise "due care" to avoid collision.

Shoffstall collided with 16-year-old Evan Reich of Fairbanks who was driving a smaller jeep.

No injuries were reported but cumulative damage to both vehicles was estimated at 30 thousand dollars.
