FAIRBANKS, AK-Grab your running shoes. More and more local walking and running events are popping up in the Interior. Tis' the season. Tonight is the Masochism on Moose Mountain. This is a four mile race that goes up and down Moose Mountain. This event is part of the Northern Trail Series which was delayed due to the unusually long winter we had in the Interior.
Another event that's a part of the Northern Trail Series is the Annihilator. This event is called the toughest 10k in the Interior. There is a gravel pit by the Parks highway that's one and half miles north Nenana. That's where the race starts and finishes. Registration is an hour before the race and it's 5 bucks. The Annihilator will be this Saturday at 11 am.
Lastly, this Thursday at the West Valley High School track will be the All Comer's Track meet which is in its 38th year. Runners can participate in race events that range from 100 to 5000 meter races.
