Two people were taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital yesterday with unknown injuries after a THREE VEHICLE accident impeded northbound traffic along the Richardson Highway.
Fairbanks City Police and Fire personnel, and the Alaska State Troopers got the call just after 3 p.m. yesterday responding to the FIRST exit near Badger Road.
Police say an unidentified vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, and trying to merge into highway traffic off the Badger ramp, when the car is said to have "fish tailed," into the left lane causing a Ford sedan and a Ford Expedition to take evasive action to avoid an accident.
Police say the car that initially caused the accident was not on–scene when they arrived.
As mentioned, two motorists were taken to the hospital.
The extent of their injuries are unknown.
