Midnight Sun Baseball Tournament starts tomorrow night

FAIRBANKS, AK-The Goldpanners won't be the only baseball game in town this weekend. The American Legion Midnight Sun Baseball Tournament starts Friday and runs through Sunday.
Games will be on ARCO and Marlin Field.

The tourney will feature A and double A squads from East , West and South Anchorage, Bartlett, Juneau, Eagle River, Chugiak, Wasilla, Dimond and you're your Fairbanks 49ers. All games in the tournament are 7 innings. The team with the best record at the end of the tournament is the winner.

So far this summer the Fairbanks AA team is 1-6 overall, last in the standings with Chugiak on top with a 10-3 record. But the 49ers single A team is third in the standings with a 4-2-1 record. South's and Colony's single A team come in undefeated.

The tournament starts tomorrow at 7 p.m. with Fairbanks playing Bartlett at Marlin Field.
