Two weeks removed from a first place finish in the annual Spring Fling in Fairbanks, Ross MacDougall took top honors for the men in the 33rd Tok Trot 10K run/walk,
but it was Theresa Schnurr who stole the show Saturday along the Alaska Highway, capturing the women's title for the third consecutive year.
Exact times were not available, but News Center 11 spoke late Saturday, via telephone, with race organizers Paul and Nancy Kelley.
They also say Fairbanks resident Chris Eversman, although finishing second Saturday, created some history of his own as well.
According to Paul Kelley, since 2006, Eversman has finished the race in first place during even numbered years, and second place during odd numbered years.
The annual Tok Trot is an out and back course that travels along the Alaska Highway, that starts and finishes at the Tok Information Center.
