Lawmaker on probation may be freed.

Probation officers for former State House Speaker Pete Kott have requested that he be released from federal probation.
The 64 year old Kott pleaded guilty to bribery in 2011.
That was after he appealed his 2007 corruption conviction.
Kott was one of several state lawmakers charged as the result of a federal investigation.
Probation officers filed a request in U. S. District court for Kott's release.
