The annual law enforcement torch run to benefit the Special Olympics of the Tanana Valley starts at 10am Saturday at UAF.

Each year, law enforcement officers from around the state get  together for the 5–k fun  run.

 

The nationwide  event has become one of the most successful fundraisers ever.

 

All pledges and donations go directly to the  special  olympics sports and competition programs.

 

The 5k torch run will start and end at the university of alaska fairbanks police station and be followed by a picnic.
