FAIRBANKS-Lathrop got revenge against Juneau. The Crimson Bears came back with three goals in the third to beat Lathrop 3-2 on Thursday. Ryan Ebenal and the Malemutes would not let déjà vu deter their focus for a win.
After some nice saves from Ebenal and Neal Chapman for a scoreless first Colton Meier got a power play goal for Lathrop. Then later in the second Chad Horn would score to give Lathrop a 2-0 lead.
The Malemutes led 2-0 going into the third and lost on Thursday and they had the same advantage last night. But Ebenal stood on his head making save after save.
Meier would get another goal and the Malemutes shutout Juneau winning 3-0. It's their fourth win of the year. Ebanel had 23 saves in the shutout.
