FAIRBANKS-Also in prep sports area high school soccer teams had their first games on the Interior's pitch on Tuesday night.
The Lathrop Malemutes and North Pole Patriots split in their first meeting of the year. In the girls game the Malemutes continue their great start to the year.
A duo was too hot to handle as Alexis Shipman and Savannah Garrett both had three goals for the Malemutes. Lathrop was up 3-0 at the half and tacked on the other four in the second half.
Mikalaya Triplehorn has not allowed a goal this season. Lathrop shuts out North Pole 7-0 on Tuesday night and the Mutes are making noise with a 4-0 record.
In the boys it was the Million Dollar Man show. Josh Million scored five goals for the Patriots. He had two right before half time and then a hat trick in the second half.
Lathrop had it's best offensive game with three scores but too much Million as North Pole wins 6-3.
