FAIRBANKS- Reduced spending at the University of Alaska Fairbanks will also hit the public radio and tv. The General Manager of KUAC, Keith Martin says, they will try to keep their programming the same, but he's unsure if that's possible. He says they should know specific impacts by the end of the week. UAF reduced funding to the station by nearly $170,000 or about 15% less than their normal contribution. While other sources could make up the difference, officials with KUAC say they are planning to operate with less money in the future.
