Heavy weekend rain northeast of Fairbanks has dumped even more water into the already swollen Chena, Salcha and Tanana rivers.
Nearly an inch of rain fell Sunday between Miles 80 and 112 on the Steese Highway, and flooding there was likely.
Drivers are urged not to attempt to drive through water covering the road.
Minor flooding is expected along the Salcha river, but the Chena should remain within its banks.
The Tanana River also is running high and another crest is expected today or Wednesday.
