Ice Dogs win seventh consecutive game

CLOQUET, MINN-The Ice Dogs got their seventh straight win last night with a 2-1 decision over the Midwest division Minnesota Wilderness.

Kyle Lee scored the game winner with 2:27 left in the game with Fairbanks having a one man advantage after pulling goalie Kevin Aldridge. Lee also had an assist. Jacob Hetz scored the first goal of the game for Fairbanks in the first period. He also added an assists on the game winner.

The lone Wilderness goal came in the second period and it was by former Ice Dog Jakob Romo. Romo spent two seasons in Fairbanks.

Aldridge made 31 saves in the contest. The Ice Dogs get the win despite being outshot for the first time this season 29-32.

Both teams are back on the ice tonight in the Northwoods Credit Union Arena. The puck drops at 4 p.m. AKST.
