The Ice Dogs win home series against Janesville

FAIRBANKS, Ak-The Nanook hockey team wasn't the only Fairbanks hockey club lowering the broom on their opponent.

The Ice Dogs swept the Janesville Jets over the weekend in their return to the Big Dipper. After a 4-0 shutout of the Jets on Friday night the Ice Dogs followed up with another nice home performance.

The game was tied 1-1 going into the second with a goal by Ryan McNeeley Then the takeover. Devin Loe broke the tie at the 14:39 mark in the second. He is playing great right now. Loe had two goals and an assist. In the third Loe strikes again scoring the insurance goal on a nice play set up by Patrick Newell and Kyle Lee. Steve Perry made 22 saves on 23 shots.

The Ice Dogs win 3-1. This gives them 4 straight wins-their third longest streak of the season.
