It was still a 1-1 game but Nicholas Rivera scored on a big power play goal again just a few minutes into the final period. The first three goals came within the first five minutes of each period.

Fairbanks was diwn 1-2 with less than a minute to go. Tayler Munson was the hero sending the game into the overtime his tally coming with just 52 seconds left in regulation. The Ice Dogs went with extra attacker and it paid off.

Thanks to the saves of Wenatchee's Gustaf Johansson and the dynamic saving ability of Fairbanks' Kevin Aldridge this game went to a shootout.

Munson started the scoring with a goal on his first attempt. Parker Toumie answered for the Wild to even things up in the shootout. Aldridge got hot shutting out the next two Wenatchee skaters. Then Gorowsky nailed the game winner after Aldridge stoned Andre Pison on what would be the final attempt.
