WENATCHEE, WA-Road hockey last night for the NAHL's top team, the Fairbanks Ice Dogs taking on the the Wenatchee Wild.
The Ice Dogs put the shutdown on Wenatchee from puck drop in game one of this weekend series. The Ice Dogs would score first with a Jacob Hetz tally as they dominate the first period firing 17 shots on net while holding the Wild to only three shots.
Viktor Liljegren would make it 2-0 in the second period and goalie Kevin Aldridge was stopping the few shots he saw on the evening. He would make 16 saves and secure the shutout in a 4-0 win. Fairbanks is on a four game winning streak.
Duggie Lagrone and Lonnie Clary got third period goals to put the game out of reach.
The Ice Dogs stay hot as 10 players get into the point column including Aldridge the netminder. They will look for another weekend sweep tomorrow in Wenatchee.
