The Ice Dogs lose game one to Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX-The Ice Dogs will not get the coveted sweep as the Ice Rays get the 4-2 win last night.

Fairbanks trailed the whole game. They were down 4-0 in the third period before two goals by the Ice Dogs in the last 10 minutes of the game but it wasn't enough even the Ice Dogs outshot the Ice Rays 33-23.

Male Ville led the Ice Rays with two goals. Ben Myers had 31 saves for Corpus Christi.

Jacob Hetz and Vikto Liljegren provided the scoring for Fairbanks.

Both teams conclude the series today in Corpus Christi.
