Ice Dogs get swept by Wenatchee

WENATCHEE, Was-It was not a good weekend for the Ice Dogs who were swept in three games by the west division leader Wenatchee Wild. After the Ice Dogs lost the first two games the last went to the limit but the Wild won 4-3 in a shootout.

Fairbanks was down 3-2 in the third but Doug Rose tied it a 3 to force overtime. The Ice Dogs went scoreless in the shootout with the game winner going to the Wild on their first chance.

Fairbanks is now six points back of Wenatchee in the West. The Ice Dogs' next six games are against the rival Brown Bears of Kenai in the continuation of the 16 game ERA Alaska Cup Series. The series is tied 3-3.
