Ice Dogs get 4-2 road win over Coulee Region

ONALASKA, WI-The Ice Dogs never trailed or tied in their 4-2 over third place Midwest divison for Coulee Region on Friday night.

Tayler Munson led the Ice Dogs scoring two goals in the first seven minutes of the game. It was just a 2-1 game going into the third period but Todd Burgess scored the decisive goal for Fairbanks just 1:25 into the final period.

Kyle Lee added an empty net goal late in the game for the final margin after Adam Lovick scored for the Chill midway through the third.

Kevin Aldridge made 22 saves on 24 shots for the Ice Dogs. Viktor Liljegren had two assists. Munson also had a helper to go with his two goals for a three point night.

The Ice Dogs could get the sweep today against the Chill as both teams wrap up the two game series.

Fairbanks is fighting for the best NAHL regular season record. The Amarillo Bulls are three points behind the Ice Dogs and are on a bye this week.
