Ice Dogs can't rally in Wenatchee

WENATCHEE, WASH-The Ice Dogs couldn't muster a comeback on the road. The Wild came back with two goals in third for their 3-2 win.

It was tied 1-1 going into the third and the Ice Dogs had 2-1 lead after a Jacob Hetz goal three minutes into the final period. But the Wild rallied for the last two scores in the last five minutes of the game.

Chris Koukis tied the game 2-2 at the 14:27 mark of the contest. Mike Coyne provided the game winner with 2:03 left.

The Wild outshot the Ice dogs by double digits 39-25. Kevin Aldridge made 36 saves while his counterpart Johansson Gustaf made 23 saves.

Fairbanks is still tops in the Midwest with a 23-11 record but will have a chance to end their six game road trip with a win as they play Wenatchee again tonight.
