Hutchison girls force a split in double header soccer match with West Valley

NORTH POLE, AK-Tonight in a soccer double header between the West Valley Wolfpacka and Hutchison Hawks the Hutchison girls squad comes away with what could be considered an upset.

The West Valley girls team as been a Mid Alaska Conference powerhouse the last few years but Hutchison put that aside and came away with a 3-1 win. It was Hutchsion first Interior soccer action and even thought the Wolfpack were coming off a 12-0 victory over Eielson it didn't matter. Tomorrow Hutchsion will face Eielson at noon to start the double header then West Valley gets a chance to redeem themselves agains the Lathop Malemutes.

In boys soccer the Wolfpack dominated again. Despite some spirited defense from the Hawks throughout the game the Wolfpack would overwhelm Hutchison. Jung Maeng was the alpha male tonight for the Wolfpack. Maeng's hat trick led all scorers included teammates David Carr and Parker-Joe Micheal who also added two goals a piece. The final from Newby field a 9-0 win over Hutchison.
