Hutchison beats Monroe in the Dipper, West Valley falls again

ANCHORAGE-Yesterday in the Big Dipper Monroe and Hutchison faced off.

A little over five minutes in and Dylan Steele ended the 0-0 game with a goal. Jaime Haman with the helper. Nathaniel Brose made 31 saves including nice one diving from behing his own goal.

The Hawks however would get behind Brose as Thomas Lees fires one in off the rebound to knot things up. Lees came back for more late in the second period for his second tally giving the Hawks a 2-1.

Hutchison's Dan Slane made 19 saves and didn't allow another goal. Kevin Steffey closed it out with two goals of his own and the Hawks win 4-1 over the Rams.

Also in prep hockey West Valley lost 3-1 to South last night after losing 5-1 to Dimond on Wednesday.

Jared Cruz had two goals to lead the Wolverines. Stoshie Skorulski prevented the shutout for West Valley.

The Wolfpack will have a two gamer against Juneau tonight and Saturday.
