FAIRBANKS- UAF Honor students want to raise awareness about homelessness in Fairbanks, and they do something unusual each year. During National Homeless and Hunger Awareness Week, they camp outside, if it’s above negative 30 degrees. So far, they’ve camped out every night since Saturday. Their week-long demonstration also gives the group a chance to raise food and money for the new student food pantry. They are also collecting used clothing for the Street Outreach and Advocacy Program. Donations can be taken to the students who will be next to the Rasmuson library, until Sunday.
