Hanneman leads UAF Ski team at U.S. Nationals

FAIRBANKS-The Nanooks cross country skiing team continues to represented well at the U.S. Cross Country Championships.
On Sunday day three of nationals, John Hanneman, the sophomore, took first place in the junior men's 10 kilometer race. Hanneman's 27 minute 57.9 second time secured his spot on the U.S. Junior Ski team for the World Junior Championships in the Czech Republic later this month. Hanneman's first place finish also pre-qualifies him for the NCAA Men's and Women's Skiing championships in March.

On the women's side junior Heather Edic led the way finishing 28th overall and third in the Central Region in the 20 kilometer race in one hour 12 minutes, 18 point 2 seconds which is a career best performance for Edic in the U.S. Nationals
