Hanneman leads UAF ski team to 2nd place, women finish 4th

ISHPEMING, MICH-The Nanook ski teams have some momentum going into the NCAA regional races.

This weekend the men's team finished second in the CCSA Championships led by Logan Hanneman. The junior won both the 10K and 20K mass start races. He won the 10K in 20:17.8 sec on Saturday and on Sunday won the 20K in 40:23.4 sec.

The women finished fourth and they were paced by junior Alyson McPhetres and senior Heather Edic. McPhetres finished 9th in the 15K while Edic placed 15th.

Top skier, freshman Nicole Bathe, was in Italy competing in the World Junior Championships.
